I have no idea who the oldest living former England international is, but I'd guess he played in the 30s or 40s, which means that even if he played only as a late substitute in a single England game, it'd be well reported. There are also the FA records. I'd be much surprised if a former England player has no Wikipedia entry. That virtually guarantees a mention in the press should one die and that fact be reported by his relatives.

That's fucking ridiculous lol I hate to give away any of my 20 picks but I will say my initial list of 14 or so automatic names who were locks to die included Pipes. He's not going anywhere from my list, I've yet to see anyone recover from Stage 4 Lung cancer (the other forms yes, lung no). I'd like to thank Pipes for guaranteeing me a hit I already presumed.
