Ideas And Possibilities For 2016

Recommended Posts

I was going to withhold some of my choices but, seeing as I don't actually participate in the DDP, I'm not actually affected by giving away my choices (everyone here probably already has the following names queued up for their pools anyway).

Likely obit-able names:

Tommy Chong (actor): prostate cancer and rectal cancer

Gaston Glock (Firearms engineer): suffered a few strokes and is in ill health, also old

Joyce Randolph (actress: "Honeymooners"): just plain old and frail

Charles Trippy (vlogger): Brain tumour removed last year, had lots of seizures this year- ongoing treatment

Sumner Redstone (Billioinaire Viacom): old and in failing health

Joseph Kony (remember that guy?): Reportedly gravely ill

Some fringe picks for shadow lists:

Stan Mikita (Hockey player): Previously battled oral cancer, now has Lewy Body Dementia

Chuck Blazer (FIFA Admin): Colon cancer, diabetes, coronary heart disease

I have more written down somwhere... will update later

All brilliant suggestions many thanks. The only exception is Tommy Chong as his prostate cancer is in remission and his rectal cancer is only Stage 1 so the prognosis is fairly good for him.I had no idea that Blazer or Kony were even ill"!

I knew Blazer was ill because the forums friendly Grim Reaper has him on his DDP team this year.

And I mentioned José Marie Marin in July as fighting extradition over the Fifa bribery because healthwise he is meant to be fucked.

He was up 3 days ago, standing was 'dodgy'.

He's 83 and one for some lists.

As much as I hate to say it Caroline Aherne has not narrated the last 2 episodes of Gogglebox and the official twitter account has not offered any reason/reassurance to the people who have asked why.

Last year she was photographed looking gaunt when she spoke about her Cancer diagnosis/treatment.

At least she showed us once and for all how much more classy she was than her one-time nemesis Bernard Manning by making her last known act on this planet languidly narrating a show that consists of a bunch of grumbling muttering barely-sentient completely unintelligible fucktards commenting on the moribund world of British TV. So she'll have that comfort.

A tap in...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on December 18th...

Now a second terminally ill guy wants a screening....

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/star-wars-the-force-awakens/reddit-terminally-ill-british-fan-screening-disney/

I really hope (a new hope, perhaps?) that there's not a really good cliffhanger at the end!

How about George Alagiah. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer 18 months ago and hasn`t been back to work done any interviews and stopped tweeting over a year ago now. Might be worth taking a gamble as he is certainly famous enough for the list.

Funny you should ask. He's been given the all clear after 18 months. A-hem.

I love when they've 'beaten' cancer, though he doesn't say that really.

Posting as follow up here though Presenters thread makes more sense.

Peter Sarstedt anyone? Just done a search and can't see any reference to him. He's been ill for a while now. Where will he go to my lovely?

Alas Peter, 73, is in poor health, living in a Sussex retirement village. His partner, Jill Wall, tells The Beat magazine: ‘In 2011 he was initially diagnosed with dementia, but has finally been told this year that he has PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy). It is typical of Peter that he has embraced his illness with stoicism and acceptance.’

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-3161595/Ephraim-Hardcastle-Queen-set-appear-Antiques-Roadshow.html#ixzz3qqxMKrru (there isn't actually anything more)

PSP has no cure and a medium survival of 7 years. One to watch in a year or two's time, to see how he's doing.

Some good picks. I like I.M. Pei, Lansbury or Hugh Hefner for example.

But some picks are not recommendet. in my point of view not spectacular enough or simply too unknown (Clive James, Cliff Michelmore, dennis Norden) outside from UK no pig knows them.

Sandra Day O'Connor is now in a wheelchair,

CTJE54jUYAAUz7I.jpg

Also, B.B. King could be replaced by Little Richard.
Also, Aung San Suu Kyi might have a little accident, if she will govern as self-assured as she has campaigned.

I think it is time to add Betty White to the list. There was something about Betty the last time I saw her that reminded me of my grandmother about six months before she died.
