Ok, I have PM'ed over a list of 50 possibles, msc.

 

This will be my shadow list for 2016, wasn't going to bother but as I've picked a nifty 50, what the heck.

My prediction is that the crowdsourced list will beat the Deathlist. It seems like Shadow Lists have had more hits than the Deathlist every year, except this year, because the Deathlist got lucky with all the 90-year-olds dying.

We have 6 lists in - a growing rate so early in the month, I think.

 

Only 2 celebrities appear on all lists so far: one had an important job, and the other is a popular name in the DDP.

 

It has also informed me that a reasonably known but aged actress is in poor health. In case the poster who sent that name in is hoping for a unique, I wont name them, and I'll say that the only actress on my own shortlist is Joanne Woodward, and she is unlikely to be picked.*

 

*Naturally, if Anne Hathaway announces terminal brain cancer on Christmas Day, I'll be right there, alongside every other DDP player in history, of course.

 

There is some traction behind some interesting celebs though, including one I had never heard of before in August, but who I now wouldn't be surprised if they showed up on the Deathlist next year. They've got that type of public conscience (by deadpool standards) poor health momentum, seemingly. In fact, I've also seen their name show up on other forums deadpool threads. Funny how that works!

Thirteen days left to enter many of the 2016 competitions. And thirteen days left to submit a team for the Crowdsourced Deathlist.

 

We've got 10 entries so far, and I can announce that not a single celebrity appears on every single list. No one is yet assured any position whatsoever, so every list counts.

 

I've also had my first posthumous entry. I wont name the person who sent it in, or the celebrity involved. I'll merely note that the person in question died a few years ago, and it was fairly substantially publicized. Still, not quite as bad as the time Odstock mentioned that a Derby Dead Pool team had entered a celebrity who died in 1879!

I can confirm the following people just missed out: Lupita Tovar, Ayatollah Khamenei, Lys Assia, Peter Vaughan, Paul Gascoigne, June Brown, William Russell, Jimmy Greaves, Peter Maxwell-Davies, Caroline Aherne.

There was nearly 400 picks in all, but those were the ones that came within 10 points of a spot at the end.
