msc 18,421 Posted September 14, 2016 Very well, I'll open up nominations in about 11 weeks time. (Christ, where has the year got to?)
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted September 20, 2016 I have an idea. We all try to predict the next death on the main deathlist, right? Since this is not just one person, but rather a community of voters who made this list, maybe we can predict the next death on the crowdsource deathlist
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted October 13, 2016 Hoping for three more hits so we can beat deathlist's record already
msc 18,421 Posted October 13, 2016 THE KING AND DIE Â Â 12/50 Â Â 13th October 2016 Â The King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, has died at the age of 88 to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist a round dozen of hits. Also known as Rama IX, he took reign in 1946, and was at the time of death, the longest reigning world leader. He had been in ill health for some time, and made his debut at 10th place on the list.
Joey Russ 7,220 Posted October 30, 2016 Since nominations are going to start in about a month, I have a question regarding rule #10. Are we going to only have 25 people from deathlist's top 50, or are we going to only 25 from our list. If it's the latter, get Sinead O'Connor out of here. msc 18,421 Posted October 30, 2016 Good question. I'd suggest only keeping 25 of the Crowdsourced lot, as the two lists differ.
YoungWillz 21,014 Posted October 30, 2016 Interested to see how this works, given it is a popularity poll. Â Will you, msc, decide which of the 25 are ineligible, or will you collate the results then decide which ones to rule out? Â This may have been asked before, but it's Sunday, I've had a big dinner and I'm lazy.

I'll pick and choose. *evil laughter*  Nah, what I was going to do last time, but never needed to, was that if we had, say, twenty-six from the previous year voted into the top 50, then the twenty-sixth would be axed, and replaced by the 51st person on the list, and so on.

I think your probably going to axe a few people this time. I could see most of these names being selected by majority again.

msc 18,421 Posted November 26, 2016 Castro another hit for the Crowdsourced. Â I was looking up something on my phone five minutes ago. The wife walks in and says "Oh, alright, who's dead now?" Â And to think I said "no one". Â He'll be updated ASAP.

msc 18,421 Posted November 26, 2016 ONE WAYS TO KILL CASTRO Â 13/50 Â Â Â Â 25th November 2016 Â Â Long time ruler of Cuba and longer time foe of the USA, Fidel Castro, has died at the age of 90 to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist it's unlucky thirteenth hit. The son of a farmer, he studied law before becoming a revolutionary guerilla and working to overthrow the Dominican Republic government. In 1959, he and Che Guevara overthrew the pro-America Cuban dictator Batista. Despite the CIA's best (or worst efforts, depending on how you look at it) to assassinate him, Castro held on as Cuban leader until his retirement in 2006. To say he had a mixed legacy - Cuban Missile Crisis, health care, prosecution of political opponents to pick a selection of them - was akin to saying Donald Trump was mildly divisive, but his legacy as a solid pick on the inaugural Crowdsourced Deathlist is a fine one.
msc 18,421 Posted December 18, 2016 TO KILL A GABOR SISTER* Â 14/50 Â Â Â Â 18th December 2016 Â Â Some said it could never happen. Others said she would laugh in the face of the Reaper, or that her husband was keeping her alive like a mad professor in a Peter Cushing film. But no one can out run Death forever, and so Deadpool Legend (and former actress) Zsa Zsa Gabor has died at the age of 99 to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist it's 14th hit of the year. Gabor was born in Hungary and appeared in the original Moulin Rouge and We're Not Married. Taking the latter title to heart, she was married nine times to nine different men, even outdoing the Liz Taylor record. In recent years, she had suffered a number of health issues, including but not limited to: heart problems, a stroke, comas, pneumonia, blood clots, dementia, amputations, blood on the lungs, water on the lungs, infections, crocodile attacks, and a precision strike by a malicious asteroid on her bedroom. In 2010, she even received the last rites, only to outlive over sixty hits on our sister Deathlist, and even her own daughter in 2015. Zsa Zsa was to be overwhelmingly elected to the top spot in the 2017 list, but decided to skip out a bit early. So long, you may have been a mediocre actress, but your impression of a Terminator was top notch. Â Â All eyes (or not) are now on the Crowdsourced's living, as a single hit in the last fortnight of the year will see it beat the Deathlist's personal best in its debut year! Â Â *what can I say, I love that DDP team name
