Sir Creep 7,070 Posted October 11, 2015 Former Lebanese Minister and MP Elias Joseph Skaff passed away on Saturday after a long battle with illness. He was nearly 67. Sunday is his 67th birthday. Skaff was first elected an MP in the eastern Bekaa Valley in 1992 following the death of his father ex-Minister Joseph Skaff and later in 1996. Sean 6,329 Posted October 27, 2015 Was looking at the House of Lords debate on tax credits. Baroness Campbell of Surbiton spoke through an oxygen mask .I was aware she was on Oxygen at night but clearly she is getting even frailer. Spinal Muscular Atrophy which she suffers from as does one of my good friends is not terminal in itself (at least not that particular type) but chest infections are very common as are other complications. Here is a picture so you can judge for yourself . A sad sight really. Norman Tebbit looks a bit thinner and older than when I saw him on TV at the election but he was the same as always i.e tenacious! https://twitter.com/hashtag/baronesscampbell?f=images&vertical=default&src=hash

Whereas Tebbit looked like the kind of creature Peter Cushing hunted down in the 1980s, and still does today.

Indeed very sad to watch.Of course it is possible she just has an infection and didn`t want to miss the vote as it was an important one.She looked like she was going to burst into tears which is unusual for her as she is normally very calm and collected.I definitely will include her on my DD entry next year. She just has an awful look about her even if you discount the oxygen mask. She looks skeletal and a bout of pneumonia over the Winter could easily see her off.I saw someone die from emphysema and they had the same look of fear and desperation on their face and that was very near the end. It reminded me of Tony Newton. During his final few weeks alive, he gave a speech against the welfare reforms in the Lords with the aide of an oxygen cylinder. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted October 27, 2015 Scott Barr, a lifelong (great State of) Washington farmer and rancher who spent 17 years in the Legislature, died last week at his Colville home at 99. In December 1993, at age 77, Barr said he was “wasn’t getting any younger” and stepped down in the middle of his term. SC
