The Generation Game

Recommended Posts

Also a reminder of dates when substitutes will be valid for those non-obit scoring deaths:

Ilse Aichinger:11th February

Anyone who has these picks will need to give me two names on or after the given date if a QO doesn`t come from. Both new names have to be in the generation you assigned non-scoring picks.

Well, I hope Jacques Chirac makes it that long.

Looks like only Morbidkid had Heimlich.

Is his team valid yet?

Morbidkid is still in the game but unless he changes his list to include 60 valid picks he will never win.
What are you talking about?

Some of your picks are part of the wrong generation i.e some are too old and some are too young.

Fixed a few I still kept Brady because I don't want him off of my table.

You need 3 categories of 20.The first group must contain people born only between 1901 and 1924 then one group of 20 1925._1942 births then one with 1943_1960 births!

You do understand that by entering an ineligible team you might as well have not entered the team in the first place; it's hardly the most research intensive of deadpools (there's no looking up how many worldwide singles they've sold, correlating that with google results and checking how many snooker matches they've played; there's no trying to find out what position players from the nineteen twenties would correlate to in a modern 11, there's no need to scour the local news for beyond your cancer mum picks). So how about just checking people's birthdates on Wikipedia?

generations aren't unverisally agreed on anyway. Some people would classify downie, brackneil and Christie as baby boomers anyway.

While that may be true, Sean did class those years in the beginning in what category each person is eligible so you should follow them. Oh, and Brady would never be a boomer anyways cause he was born before world war 2.
