The Generation Game

Regarding subs. Can you forbid them completely please. Those chomping for one now should have considered obit chances before submission

What I would suggest is that if people pick someone who doesn't obit within three months they have to make a new pick in that category. They gain no benefit but are still in the game.

Otherwise no substitutes.

I'd argue they do gain benefit from your system

OK if they don't obit in three months they have to add two names to the list.

Bibliogryphon's suggestion seems to be OK. It is not pleasant to be in an eternal limbo because of some lazy ass journalists.

Objection. I believe if you were too thick to calculate obitability you should not be permitted to continue playing the game.

Heh, of course now that I've said that this competition is not about speed, I'm leading with 4 hits, now that SR Nathan has received a Daily Mail obit:

I want to join, but I'm still thinking over on a lot of things

2 hits in one day for me with Toots Thielemans and S.R. Nathan dying.

Decent start for me with Havelange going earlier in the week.

I guess Bhumbibol goes first, unless Donald Trump wins the presidency.

My pick Karam Chand has died. Maybe it's the first test of the new obit rules.
