drol 11,954 Posted May 3, 2020 TIN PEST! Former Burmese PM Tun Tin has died a few months before turning 100. Tun Tin had been in failing health for at least two years and was widowed in September 2017. As a young man he took part in the first Burmese anti-British movements ad later collaborated with Japanese occupants during WWII. In 1949 he earned his "Thura" honorific title by suppressing a Karen insurgency in blood. Yeah, I know what you are thinking: if John Rambo was there this would be the last line of his biography, but for a lucky chance, he came there about 60 years later. Tun Tin quickly started a decent political career, which saw him becoming Minister of Finance and then Prime Minister, serving briefly in 1988. During his rule 8888 insurgence happened and after a mere month from it, the Tun was sacked and retired from politics. He was actually perceived as a puppet of Sein Lwin with very limited political power. He was a good historian in his old age, publishing as late as 2010. The most important thing is he is a hit here for @The Quim Reaper, who scores again! Congrats! 2

Impress me, TQM, win it back to back. @Sir Creep there, after TQM's first hit. Just imagine his insufferable grin after securing a commanding and brilliant back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Feeling almost embarrassed, The Quim Meaper decided to let the randomiser select the next pick. Randomiser came up with Abderrahmane Youssoufi.

That's called "Chinese troll who vandalizes Oldest State Leaders pages" effect. Tun Tin is very much dead, an obituary was published yesterday on Myanmar Alin and many senior politicians have already expressed their condolences on Facebook.
