Sir Creep 7,070 Posted April 11, 2020 Got to drinkin me some Good Friday wine/beer/whisky a good spell, and after talkin to the ‘Prettiest Girl in Scotland’ ™️ alls I could think of was ... I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say. I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be. And if I had to walk the world, I'd make you fall for me I promise, I promise you I will.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted April 12, 2020 The plinky keyboard 1980s. You had to be there I guess.

Thanks for heads up - I didn’t even know she dropped a new album or that one was even in the works. This song is good, a bit quirky; hope the whole thing like this.
Joey Russ 7,228 Posted April 20, 2020 Ngl, the newest Fiona Apple album is a pretty good record. Strange? Yes. But I like it:

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted April 21, 2020 We should have a generation gap thread ‘you really should have heard this song. And I mean that both directions. I can hand over 80s music and probably missed a few songs late 1990s I need to catch up on. Anyway, this was an early ‘video’ song and a great song at the time. Total 1-hit wonders. TQR 14,399 Posted April 24, 2020 New from the Stones. First in 8 years. A song for the times. Pretty good, I think.
gcreptile 10,978 Posted April 25, 2020 Rina Sawayama - XS - from her self-titled debut album. This japanese queer artist gives a modern spin to those timeless classic artists like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey:
Youth in Asia 1,087 Posted April 25, 2020 That Stones song is awful. Their 70s selves would be embarrassed to hear that. They would have been better just to do a cover of Ghost Town by the Specials.

But how dare you even contemplate anyone doing a cover version of Ghost Town. Heresy indeed.

Been to see Bruce Springsteen in Coventry a couple of times and was disappointed that he didn't open with a Specials cover. He sometimes acknowledges a local artist that way.

Clorox Bleachman 2,435 Posted April 29, 2020 Finally found this song! It was in everything in the noughties. Got to say, it probably wasn't worth searching for for years, but it bangs nonetheless.
Joey Russ 7,228 Posted April 30, 2020 Can’t find a YouTube link for Voodoo Chile (the 15 minute version, not the more famous slight return one), so here’s a Spotify link to it: https://open.spotify.com/track/0auKlivXpm76wR63mMJ3pR?si=n--35IfeQ-SASiehAKyn0w
TQR 14,399 Posted May 1, 2020 A plethora of today's chart-topping artists have done a stay-at-home collective of Foo Fighters' Times Like These for Radio 1. A few of the contributors are a bit naff (AJ Tracey, Paloma Faith, Jess Glynne) but it's a good reminder of how brilliant the song is.
