Classic one-hit wonder whose career was ended as it began, with the usage of the song in the movie.

She became a taxi driver eventually, and is still alive (for our purposes).

Good song more or less, although my taste in music is a bit more 21st century normally I do like some of the older stuff like this.

Shame she didn't take her career further.

^^ That one has top credentials, as not everyone might know (but you do).

Venezuelan producer Arca has a new album out soon - I'm liking what I hear so far. They are getting somewhere on their constant musical transition.

I love The 1975. This eclectic, stand-out experimental track from their latest album has strong left-field Radiohead vibes to me.

Came across somthing on Youtube called Bardcore, pseudo medieval versions of songs such as Thriller, Creep, Bad Romance, Sweet Child of Mine ect.

It's strangely addictive, mind you Fortunate Son gave me flashbacks to the 100 Years War!!

As I had promised myself the other day, listened to The Adventures' The Sea Of Love album while mowing the lawn.

This should have been a monster hit, and have appeared on every summer compilation ever.   Curiously it was never released as a single.

Jessie Ware's new album "What's Your Pleasure" - pleasant disco, neatly filling spaces between David Bowie's Let's Dance, and Robyn's output.

Jessie Ware - Save A Kiss

I should note by now that my musical investigations are often based on blogger Anthony Fantano's reviews ("theneedledrop").

I fucking loved this as a kid, and it still bangs now. N.E.R.D, the rock/hip hop band containing Pharrell Williams before he was happy.

Sorting out RfQs in the office and I’m bored cuntless, but this is playing so it’s not all bad.

I do wish, however, the lyric “All this will fade away...” were fucking true.

Every bit as energising today as it was in the 00s when I was trying to master the drums.

I was just enjoying a performance of Gimme Shelter by Lisa Fischer (with the Rolling Stones) when my eye was caught by some amusing comments.

Can't find it on YouTube but

The Microphones latest album/single - Microphones in 2020. The album single confusion is understandable since it's ONE song but lasts 44 mins - gorgeous IMHO
