If I were a Rich Man? (Ukranian, 1960s classic & high, not sure about dishevelled, trinketed or low)

Oscar-nominated song about a man facing death, never released as a single or on a studio album by the artist.

Same artist/songwriter won an Oscar for another song which was a global hit.

I'm bending the rules a bit as the song is not a favourite ,  in fact I intensely dislike it. However, it was co-written by the co-lead in one of my favourite tv programmes.

Further clues, Ivor Novello award winning song, a hit in the 50s, singer  is still alive, both writers are deceased.

Just a reminder that these two haven't been solved yet.

Not that one, but I do dislike it. The song I'm thinking of isn't generally disliked as far as I know.

A Handful of Songs, Written By Lionel Bart & Mike Pratt, sung by Tommy Steele.

Edit: or was it Little White Bull? I'm leaning more towards this as its definitely more unlikable than the former suggestion.

I like the word 'river' but it's bugger all to do with 'Ukraine'.

Trinketed Uranian.  :scratchhead:

I would not could not guess your song
I will not guess, just get it wrong
I see the answer when someone is right
And search YouTube all day and night
to hear this song I've never heard
by name or artist or spoken word
Your game seems WAYYYYY to Brit to me
So I'll just stick to DDP

From a US-UK supergroup, charted in the lower reaches of the Billboard Hot 100, just missed out on the UK Top 50.
