NOT DEAD

EDIT: The Jacobine cunts have changed title from "We remember" to "Let's celebrate"

they even changed the final sentence of the article from "there will never be another Noam Chomsky" to "there will never again be a Noam Chomsky" meaning they probably jumped the gun when hearing the rumors

Maybe he is occupying his family by literally dying right now. Another stroke, a coma, his breath is flat, the heartbeat barely perceptible. Bev Stohl has twitter in one hand, Chomsky's arm in the other. We might be knowing more soon.

1. The Jacobine has removed the obituary tag

2. All the other sources started from The Jacobine

I'd say not dead at the moment.

This reminds me of the hours of speculation we endured prior to Queen Elizabeth's official death announcement.

Let's face it. Chomsky is 95 and had a stroke almost 1 year ago exactly. Like even if he's not dead at this hour, im confident he probably will be by midnight at his health. As far as im concerned, he's still in the hospital and anything can happen, hence why i said too early to call.

Rumors are getting stronger and stronger, Twitter of the Podemos party (Spain), also mourning his death, as well as another Brazilian website, but still nothing from a major journalistic source

Corriere della Sera, La Tercera and other major left wing outlets are running with it.

But there is no direct confirmation. And at the same time no direct denial, which should be there at this point.

Somebody claimed to ask his wife

I trusted her judgement at 3-41, at 3-42 I wondered who her dealer is!

Looks like he's pulling a Tom Petty here, so I'd give him two-three days at best.

She is Brazilian. They love to deny desperate health situations.

A touching tribute to the man who wrote at length about not trusting the media that numerous sources are publishing his obituary without any official confirmation.

Can she really be trusted if she claims that he's well? :sherlock:

Oh, wow.  I didn’t realize it was that long!  Here I was thinking old Chomsky was going to break an important streak.

My programmer/computer scientist husband is telling me all about his influence. So he might have been a tankie cunt, but he was an accomplished tankie cunt.

I'm getting the feeling he's dead and there's a moratorium on announcing it by the family - though I;m surprised TMZ hasn't published an opinion either way
