Considering his Addison’s Disease, I reckon he would have died in January 1985, aged 67.

Obviously impossible to say with certainty but of his close relatives who died a natural death:

Joseph Kennedy (father) - 81

Rose Kennedy (mother) - 104

Rosemary Kennedy (sister) - 86

Eunice Kennedy (sister) - 88

Patricia Kennedy (sister) - 82

Jean Kennedy (sister).- 92

Edward Kennedy (brother) - 77

If the Addison's disease hadn't been fatal then I reckon he'd have at least made it to mid 70s so would probably have died in the early to mid 1990s around the same time as his old adversary Richard Nixon. I don't think he'd have made very old bones as his general health wasn't great but his genes were good and would probably have prevented an early natural death.

Well - we've got to consider the following:

  • Likely re-election ahead of him. Immense stress put upon his shoulders.
  • Constant cocktails of drugs, likely addiction there
  • Addison's disease
  • Back problems
  • Risk taker with sporting

And all of this culminates in a likely early death - he's unlikely to have made the 80s. Even if he had, he would be fully wheelchair-bound. He said himself he only expected to live to around 1957.

Edit: Oh, and, autopsy had traces of Pott's disease.

He is not dead. He is with Elvis, Monroe, Hendrix and the rest at a care home facility in area 51. Don't you people know anything?

Well the last three Presidents to die have all lived to be over 90 and Jimmy Carter is 97. Nixon made 81, Eisenhower 78, Truman 88. Clinton, W Bush, Trump and Biden all well into their 70s.  It's only really LBJ of the post-war Presidents who has died early naturally. Therefore I think we can overstate the importance of the stress of the office issue when assessing longevity.

1968 based on how seriously ill he was throughout his life and his dependent on drugs due to the high level of pain he was in: I don't think he would have lived to a very good age at all
