Let's have an update...

 

Not the biggest four weeks in deadpooling, but a surprising amount of surprising unique hits.

Jack Higgins, the crime writer, was a unique hit for the Daredevil. Already a bit ago, only now in the score. Teresa Berganza, the opera singer, was a unique hit for Great Uncle Bulgaria, well done. As mentioned by Willz, Walter Abish is a unique hit for Doulton. Destined for the DDP list of the lost, he gets the New York Times obit here. Boris Pahor was a unique hit for Kenny. 13 points are better than zero. Roger Angell, the eminent baseball writer is a unique hit for Torva Messor, well done as well! Even Lester Piggott was a unique hit, this time for theoldlady, who sadly, I haven't seen in quite a while... keltos31 gets another unique hit with former Ukranian president Leonid Krawchuk. 

 

A couple of names who are probably not going to get an obit: Dominique Marcas, Josef Abrham, Ciriaco De Mita. keltos31 suffers two non-obits in one update. Our QO sources don't really like those continental names.

 

One score removal: Unfortunately, I think the last update gave JoeyRuss points for Natty Wailer? I have unchecked that box, so, sorry...

 

The resulting scoreboard is this, and I hope this is everything. Next time, I'll have a more exhaustive check. And I kind of feel that the next update will have some bigger names.

Your discarded names need to still be alive, no switching out of dead non-obiting names.

Well, I guess I will allow an early replacement, BUT: substitutions will only score from July 1st on, whereas the replaced names will immediately stop scoring even if they die in the next 22 days. So if you want the maximum use of all your names, do it on the 1st of July.

Let's have a quick update, because REMINDER: Replacement day is 1st of July. It's coming up. You can also replace now already, but the hits will only count from July 1st on.

 

In other news, we have the big hit Jean-Louis Trintignant, picked by a lot of people. We also have the hit Peter Scott-Morgan, picked here and there. Especially meaningful though because the new leader has picked him. There's also Hugh McElhenny, the American football player who is a unique hit for Wormfarmer. I also had to add some points to Doulton because I didn't mark Walter Abish as dead, sorry!

It all results in a new leader, Banana, well done!

Half-time is apporaching, and because Banana picked both Jean-Louis Trintignant and Peter Scott-Morgan, there's now a bit of a gap to Salmon Mousse.

Hey. My intention was to withdraw here too, but I might as well let it continue actually. I am surprised that I'm so high up on the list, most of my hits have been big names that I assumed everyone had. I count up to 664 rather than 665, could you double-check please?

Yeah I thought of a dignitas thing... if they are only thinking about it, like Alain Delon, they're fine, but if there's already a date, then they cannot be accepted.

Hello Predictor, hope you're doing well. Yes, you are right. I had Jana Bennett a year younger than she actually was. Must have been because when I first heard of her, and entered her into my lists, I only knew the age, not the year of birth.

This score change of 1 has that effect on everyone who picked her. You'll see it next time.

Alright, as you have started posting and its now the 30th in Germany my two replacements are, unsurprisingly, Andy Goram and John Cannan for Khaleda Zia and Milos Zeman.
