The Dead of 2022

Can't find a hairdressers thread although I'm sure there is one...... anyhoo, Rita Rusk has died.  The acclaimed stylist, from Castlemilk, Glasgow, won multiple awards during her career.

Bollocks bollocks bollocks. He was going to be on my list and then I saw him on TV and he looked quite well :banghead:

When I was a kid I never got the joke about him being a one-armed washer-upper in 'Robin's Nest' (oooh, a chance to mention Richard O'Sullivan!). I think I finally twigged about, umm, three years ago...

Actress Laurie Morton, widow of the above mentioned David Kelly, reportedly dead: https://www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2022/12/31/tolka-row-actor-laurie-morton-dies-aged-98/

Appeared in D' Mrs Brown's Boys Movie, Ballykissangel and in yet another Peter Bowles related death, The Irish RM.

Yep, and died in Los Angeles, so it's a 2022 hit!  I'm in the general LA-area too so I still have 75 minutes before it's 2023 here.  Happy New Year, you filthy animals!

I didn’t realize that where a person passed mattered. But that makes since December 31 / January 1 can be tricky when working out statistics.  So if AP had died at the same time overseas it would have been a 2023 passing.

That happens every day in terms of birth and deaths. I was born only an hour and bit after midnight when obviously the Western Hemisphere was still the day before. There must be loads of people born during a time some of the world is still the year before or is already the year ahead.
