Captain Hemlock 742 Posted December 19, 2023 Also, no Chris Stone, who would be my vote for Most Surprising List of the Lost. Tom Sizemore would be my vote for Most Surprising List of the Missed.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted December 20, 2023 Lol ok I don’t pay heaps of attention, but I perused the List of the Lost and found TWO of MY unique theme entries! I never knew they died. How in Fekkin Hell did Karl-Erik Eriksson not QO? He’s participated in more Winter Olympics than anyone! Smh as usual SirC has no clue what passes the QO test in the UK. Never have, never will. So far the head coach of the British Olympic equestrian team, the First Man of Belgium (also a professional footballer), and a guy who was in 6 Olympiads did not get obits. As for Ruth Adler Schnee, one of those pesky Nazi camp survivors, she was a pioneering woman in textile arts, and got a New York Times obit. If she was a man who designed a building she would have QO’d, but she’s just a mere woman. Granted, it’ll always seem silly to me that the NYTimes isn’t used for QO purposes.

Gooseberry Crumble 5,346 Posted December 20, 2023 I'm hoping my list of the lost pick scientist Tom McLeish gets a mention in one of the broadsheets year in science review end of year type thing. Clutching at straws in a way but it's a plausible straw to clutch.

YoungWillz 21,050 Posted December 20, 2023 Takes the DDP to 296 hits I believe, with less than a fortnight to go. Exciting, innit?

Gooseberry Crumble 5,346 Posted December 21, 2023 Torben Ulrich, Lars Ulrich's father, has died (nme.com) When a qualifying obituary appears Torben Ulrich will be a hit for me in my Blueberry Crumble team and one other player. Torben was one of only two of my 60 picks across three teams that wasnt a unique pick but nevertheless this development so hot of the heels of my above post may well herald a last minute frenzied orgy of Crumble hits this year! YoungWillz 21,050 Posted December 23, 2023 Solow and Minor takes the DDP to a tantalising 299 hits, with 8 days left of the year. 300 will be broken I'm sure.
gcreptile 10,972 Posted December 23, 2023 I'll be away from home until the 27th. But maybe there will still be score updates by someone else. I'll be back to wrap up the year. Is it time to congratulate? Hm, maybe, but lets not jinx it, so I'll wait until I'm back.
