I suppose we just don't have the same connection to Jimmy Carter. 1

My assumption was that @drol was referring to the statement " I'm never doing deathpooling again".

livingbygrace 281 Posted September 19 It feels like they pulled the trigger too early by calling it Hospice, or it might be when the news first hit he seemed to be low and ready for hospice. Then over time he improved to a degree where he was still in need for help but is not actively dying. It might be likely he has family and perhaps Home Care where Nurses and CNA;s may come to his house and help him with basic needs he may have, but not technically in Hospice Care. jjohn1995 8 Posted September 19 I keep wondering if we might see Jimmy during the Plains Peanut Festival Parade on September 28th. I remember he and Rosalynn were a part of the parade for the last two years by sitting in a car. I don't know if Jimmy would be in good enough of condition to even do that this year, but I've kind of figured they won't let him make any public appearances until at least then, which would give people as little time as possible to wonder if he can make it to his 100th birthday. Did you see the photos of him at his wife's funeral? No way he's going to make an appearance at a local festival. Slight possibly his family may release a bedside photo of him for his 100th, but even that is unlikely given his grave condition.

It's "unclear" according to local news.

I reckon they'll just stick him in a wheelchair next to a birthday cake on the day, like what they do with people who are the world's oldest. Would be more dignified for a president than just taking a pic of him in bed.
