Hanzem 708 Posted January 29, 2022 14 hours ago, arghton said: Robert Young said today that "the 1907 cohort still appears to be 'above statistical expectation' and saturated with several frail persons", two of him he describes "very frail", says that the January collapse is probably not over. 1903, 1904 & 1906 are down to one survivor, 1907 has around 12: 1- Maria Branyas Morera, 2- Casilda Benegas, 3- Wang Zhanwen, 4- Fusa Tatsumi, 5- Anonymous of Hyogo, 6- Francisca Joana da Conceicao, 7- Sofia Rojas, 8- Xu Senzhen, 9- Bessie Hendricks, 10- Mila Mangold, 11- Irene Dunham, 12- Maria Ana da Silva. The other one is probably Fusa Tatsumi, bedbound and probably unresponsive. The other one? Excluding the unvalidated ones and Anonymous of Hyogo (Young mentioned that not that "very frail" one) I wonder which one it is. Benegas? Mangold? Young also mentions something about the recently deceased ones: Yoshi Baba and Valentine Ligny were "unexpected" deaths. If a death can be "unexpected" at 114/115. Thelma Sutcliffe had been in declining health but her family kept it a secret. Cecile Klein was "very frail", Antonia da Santa Cruz had been in declining health for a month. Yoshi Otsunari had been very frail for ages. I don't think that the other very frail of 1907 (except Fusa Tatsumi and anonymous) is Casilda Benegas. She was very recently reported as "in very good state"and "still healthy".

Health hasn't declined much during his centenarian/supercentenarian years, can still talk. Potentially the next man to make it to 113 (if SdlF dies during the next 1 month 5 days) but of course he could die tomorrow, who the hell knows about these 110+ folks. Hoping he makes it to 113, seems like a great guy https://www.instagram.com/persona_mas_vieja_de_venezuela/ Instagram account of Juan Vicente Perez Mora, likely managed by his family. Wheelchairbound and looks very frail in many pictures but still able to feed himself, drink, lift his arms up and answer questions, seems to enjoy life.
