Both Gretchen and Edward died soon after celebrating their birthdays. Any celebs on the list coming up to a birthday should be worried! :(

Summer weather can be lethal for old people. I wonder how Patrick Moore and Norman Wisdom are feeling?

Don't forget that Grim Reaper is always on the look out for a snappy headline when someone dies. So post your suggestions ASAP before he gets here!

I think something simple like: "Ted's Dead!" should do it!

DWB :(

If you're looking for simple how about 'Dead-ward Heath'? If you're looking for something a bit cleverer how about you ask someone else?

I got to laugh DWB that's just what i was thinking. He's just

such a hard figure to base a quick frase headline on.

Ted's Dead is a good idea but if someone could come

up with something just a bit more creative that would be a help.

How about "Heath goes 6 feet beneath".

By my counting (which isnt very great) Sir Edward Heath, KG is our 132nd success since 1987.

With Heath's death Death List 2005 is now the 10th most successful list (shared with 1996). So we are not doing too badly now.

How about : Teds bumped off again.

Although this is essentially shite, I'm trying to give some refference to Maggie deposing him and then death decomposing him.

Guest Phaeton

As per subject, the old ex-PM has died, according to the news. Aged 89.

Here is the news snippet ( Reuters ) :

Former British prime minister Sir Edward Heath, who took Britain into the European Economic Community during his term in office in the early 1970s, has died aged 89, the BBC has reported.

Mr Heath ruled Britain from 1970 to 1974 but after losing power was ousted as Conservative Party leader by Margaret Thatcher.

As prime minister, he successfully negotiated Britain's entry into what is now called the European Union but went on to see his party abandon his pro-European views.

Mr Heath never married but was passionate about music and frequently conducted orchestras as a skilled amateur.

He also shone as an international yachtsman.
