No, but there were mentions of Ramones, Jimi Hendrix Experience and Motörhead in this thread. As far as I know New York Dolls, Mama's and Papa's, Bee Gees and Lynyrd Skynyrd, are on their last original member alive.

Porizkova had never signed a prenup with the Cars rocker in 1989, something which she now deeply regrets. Ocasek died suddenly in September 2019 and Porizkova was stunned to learn that he had cut her out of his will, claiming the model had “abandoned” him. Despite their separation, the two still lived in the same home. The “Her Alibi” star found herself in a precarious financial situation. “I got two mortgaged houses and the pension, but no way to pay for anything,” she explained. “So obviously things had to be sold, but until they got sold, I had nothing to live on. I literally went through a year of asking my friends to buy us groceries. It was not a good position to be in.” SC

Gawd, that’s a throwback and a half and a bit of a shock. I was familiar with him over a decade ago during the MySpace music era. Acts like him and Colton Ford had a huge following in the gay community and were expected to break the mainstream, like Mika, Lady GaGa or Sam Sparrow, but ultimately never did.

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 19, 2021 Miles Cooper Seaton, a founding member of the experimental rock band Akron/Family, has died. Dead Oceans, the label that released Akron/Family’s final albums, confirmed the news. His cause of death is currently unknown. He was 41. As Akron/Family’s activity wound down, Seaton continued making music under his own name, issuing projects like 2013’s Notes from the Interior and 2015’s Functional Music Vols. 1 & 2.His last album, 2017’s Phases in Exile, featured collaborations with Brad Cook, Phil Cook, and M. Geddes Gengras. SC ———————————- I had never heard of these guys before but this is utterly brilliant! As happens sometimes I discover a band through its demise (a member’s death). [BTW of all the iterations why haven’t we an ‘experimental music’ thread for the Throbbing Gristle Laurie Anderson Residents types? No please don’t.]
