Ouzo can be a very high % but 13 shots alone probably wouldn’t be enough to kill someone. That's also what I suspected, can't see how 13 shots can kill you but that depends on a lot of factors I'd say…

As Karl once said: 'the only difference between Robbie's version and mine is that I know who "she" is'. Much like his cover of Stephen Duffy’s ‘The Postcard’, another quite personal song that he did adequately but almost identically. Still, shows he has taste, and I’m sure it helped the writers’ bank balances.

I read a pretty jaded interview from Karl Wallinger once where he described his bitterness that Williams was prancing around on stage at the Brits singing his song in front of millions of viewers while Karl himself was sat eating crackers at home watching the event on TV. I don't think he ever made much money from the song sadly. He didn't even know that Williams had recorded a cover of his song until it was suddenly everywhere. What makes it tragic is that he wrote the song in tribute to his dead mother and Williams has taken credit for it many times.

I'm not in any way defending Williams, but I assume Wallinger would have received full songwriting royalties for a #1 single (presumably on an album too?). At least Alexa called him out

Good call re citing them as the outfit with the most former members, seriously - it's likely there are venerable brass bands with fewer surviving ex-members. You might get over the tad slighted feeling if you ever read the testimony of the "Fallen" musicians that makes up much of this book:

One of those songs that were ubiquitous as incidental music in programmes like A Place in the Sun, like Groove Armada's 'At the River'.

YoungWillz 21,178 Posted March 16 Apparently there are some rumours that Sharon Costanzo of the Canadian band Len who had a late 90s top 10 UK chart hit with Steal My Sunshine has died. Apparently this has come from the Book of Face, so any help looking at this would be appreciated. Might be nothing but hey.

Slackhurst Broadcasting 376 Posted March 16 They came up first on a search at Discogs. I'd never heard their hit, which turned out to be a dreary effort - one of those records that isn't so much "based on" a sample as using it as a kind of musical crutch. Clorox Bleachman 2,477 Posted March 18 Singer-songwriter and model Sky Ferreira has postponed her UK tour, citing vocal issues. She hasn't released an album since 2013 and has released just 2 solo singles in the last 5 years, despite teasing her second album for almost a decade. Her label dropped her several months ago. She and her ex-boyfriend were arrested in 2013 for possession of her0in and ecstasy. There are clips of her gurning on stage, and commenters online claiming to have seen her shooting up. Some of her performances in the last few years have been very badly reviewed due to her arriving late and appearing unstable. I know all this because I bought a ticket the day before it was postponed. I hope I get to see her in good form, whenever it may be, but unfortunately her future seems less certain than 90% of the Lil rappers everyone's so focused on. Time will tell whether she's an Amy Winehouse or simply a Lauryn Hill in the realm of unproductive musicians.
