UK #1 Rock N Roll Waltz:

Surprised she hasn't received a daily mail obit at the very least. Will she actually get a qualifying obit for the DDP?

Shoddy lazy work from the BBC.

They have had several of the same minor stories up for three days on their North America news pages, so they can't claim that bigger stories crowded this out.

I agree, Guardian has an obit up now too.

Accessed today - the official website of Lynsey de Paul doesn't seem to be aware she died just over two years ago: http://www.lynseydepaul.com/index.html

Sadly she isn't the only celebrity with a slightly out-of-date personal website.

Take Martin Crowe's website as an example that – as of 13 November – still reads: "[Martin Crowe] has bravely won his battle with cancer."

? He did.

Those pesky cancerous cells are 100% dead.

The Official Don Estelle website (not to be confused with the thousands of unofficial ones out there), has now sadly fell into the hands of domain squatters, but it also carried blindly on unaware that Lofty had carked it in 2003 for a few years.

Well, either that or there's an ironic comment on his late career activities in the line:

"Don Estelle remains as busy as ever."

Nowhere near death but XTC's Andy Partridge has had a bizarre accident with some varnish: http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/14906850.XTC_frontman_recovering_after_varnish_accident/

I bet his senses were working overtime when that happened...

An update on Sharon Jones with most of the information we "need":

http://www.pollstar.com/news_article.aspx?ID=825902

Another profile of her cancer battle. Key info not mentioned before is that her cancer is now stage four, with tumors present in her lungs, liver, and lymph nodes...

I think she's too fit to die any time soon, but she may well die around Christmas to become this year's Sadhana Shivdasani.

Cancelling more gigs, this time due to pneumonia.

At the risk of making one of the bigger understatements in Deathlist forum history, metastatic pancreatic cancer and pneumonia don't really mix that well...

Dead, according to Rolling Stone. :skull:

There's now some more action at the top, as Thomas Jefferson Survives had him (I'd be shocked if she doesn't get a QO)

Suspected this was coming, pretty much the only tidbit of Sharon Jones news in the week before was that she was back in hospital, a far cry from someone that was still touring a few months ago. RIP to her, though, her willpower to keep performing as long as she did was quite admirable.

I picked on her for always promoting her cancer just before a new album release. But pancreatic cancer x2 sucks and she was performing into late July this year. And frankly I like what she and the Dap Kings put out, listenable enough.

So in the end RIP.
