What are you guys thinking?

I'm still gutted that the Canadian contingent beat me to the Condoleezza "head-crushing" caption. Kids In The Hall was great, truly iconic stuff. Bugger, if only I hadn't spent those 8 minutes googling a seating plan of the US Senate...

As far as who's next? I'll have a cheap punt on Michael Foot, although iain seems close to certain that Gerald Ford is due a mishap

I'm going to go for 'three in a row' regarding politicians.

First it was Profumo - his political career never took off.

Then Weinberger - rather senior but didn't quite make the top.

So number 3 will be a top dog - either Gerald Ford or Maggie T.

Needless to say, my vote goes to Ford (there's a first time for everything  ).

Or Pinochet of course who really was top dog in the military junta.

Ah yes - I forgot about him.

As well as Mandela....and Botha....and that African President guy....

So (to incease my chances) it could be any one of them...

[bowing]And to think I almost didn't post the caption, as I figured no one would get the reference! :( [/bowing]

I'm all about the good Professor. Consistency is a virtue, dammit. One of these days I'm gonna be right too!

I want to say that it'll be Ronnie Biggs, but I've a feeling that Charles Haughey will take us all completely by surprise.

Since I've been totally wrong in the last couple of polls, perhaps I should try guessing someone else and then the one I'm really putting my money on will go.

Not sure if that's making any sense. I think I've just confused myself

As no-one (I think, correct me if I am wrong) has managed to get this right so far, I'm not going to plump for any of my DDP choices on the list & go for someone unusual (in context), so I'm going for Ernest Gallo. :o

I understand. I recently had a sip of one of his products. He deserves a fate worse than death.

Biggs for me. No particular reason, same method I use to pick horses or winning football scores. I never get those right either. :o

I finally added my vote to the poll and went for Haughey.

Barely anything in the news about him for the past couple of years. So I'm guessing his health has been steadily declining in all that time.

Does the use of the past tense here mean you think Haughey's character has improved to the point he's no longer a C****?

With any luck he won't be one for much longer :o
