Guest Guest_Cassandra Posted July 11, 2005 Oh the ups and downs of the Pete Doherty discussion board! The tempting of Amanda into your fold, the so refreshingly reasonable responses to ranters, all done with good humour, good grammar and grace. The most charming bunch of flipping coots I've ever read. Doherty is certainly on self-destruct, even Ladbrokes wouldn't touch odds like his. I'm coming back tomorrow to have a look at Kilroy-Silk. DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted July 12, 2005 This from Popbitch weekly email: " Pete and Kate shocked friends backstage at Live8 with their open crack use. Kate's lost two stone, and Elton's offering to pay for Pete's treatment. " How did Kate Moss lose two stone???? That's 75% of her total body mass! I reckon she might croak it before Pete. Windsor 2,233 Posted August 8, 2005 At least we don't go around idolising drug addicts. And do explain, how exactly is that man a legend?
Boudicca 702 Posted August 8, 2005 At least we don't go around idolising drug addicts. And do explain, how exactly is that man a legend? Marilyn Monroe was a pathetic drug addict. Some say she was a legend. Pete is never going to be a legend, bless him..
DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted August 9, 2005 Anyone see the photos of him in the News Of The World slashing his chest with a broken glass? Methinks he needed to cut a bit deeper before he becomes a deathlist contender, that or he should go for the wrists. DDT
Windsor 2,233 Posted August 9, 2005 BBC crew are concerned that Pete will not see his next birthday . Very interesting.
Cerberus 302 Posted August 9, 2005 This from Popbitch weekly email: " Pete and Kate shocked friends backstage at Live8 with their open crack use." I had to read that sentence twice before I realised what they meant.
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted August 9, 2005 Better to use a sharp piece of metal and puncture the jugular. Wrist slashing is so often ineffective. AIUI, wrist slashing is a matter of technique and anatomical knowledge. A slash across the wrist won't cut it, since that part is full of tendons that lie closer to the skin than the artery. A slash along the thumb side of the wrist is what's needed, and a good sharp knife. About cutting one's own throat: that's how Vice Admiral Robert FitzRoy took his life, as did his uncle Viscount Castlereagh. Anyway, it's all a bloody mess. regards, Hein

Dr Strangelove 14 Posted August 10, 2005 According to The Sun, Pete set fire to his bed in order to win Kate back. And incredibly it worked. Maybe next time in his drug addled state he'll set fire to himself?

Boudicca 702 Posted August 10, 2005 According to The Sun, Pete set fire to his bed in order to win Kate back. Was Kate in it at the time? Supermodels are fond of saying that they don't get out of bed for less than £20,000. Perhaps he was just trying to raise some money..

Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted August 15, 2005 not sure if this was already posted, and I can't be a**ed to look through all 19 pages of postings, but there will be a documentary on Mr. Totalshambles on BBC 3 on Aug 28. Unfortunately they decided to edit out the part where he slashes himself with a broken bottle. What a loss to the viewing public. I wonder what percentage of his fame derives from his music, what percentage for his bizarre behaviour, and what percentage from the fact he is or was dating Kate Moss? I'd say 20% music / 30% odd behaviour / 50% Kate
