I've forgotten a lot of gigs I went to back in my yoof Never saw The Kinks, but did see Ray Davies in Hyde Park a while back. Saw Edwin Starr on a cross-Channel ferry once. That was a pleasant surprise, they usually had really mediocre entertainment. Brilliantly weird support act Babymetal, a ROCKING little trio of Japanese girls (and it has been brought to my attention that MPFC posted a link to them on here somewhere, go and find it, they're ace). One little gripe though, I paid 55 quid to go to a ROCK show, to dance and sing and HAVE FUN. Which I did! But to the people around me getting shirty because I danced, uh TOUGH SHIT. Stand up, get off your ass and HAVE SOME FUN or F UCK OFF to a RICHARD CLAYDERMAN concert you boring C UNTS. Also playing alongside him is Annie Marie Lewis, niece to Jerry Lee Lewis. A friend's band is opening for him, and another friend / local DJ does bookings for the venue. Didn't manage to get a ticket for the Twickenham date, which wouldn't have been ideal as it's the day before Petty/Nicks.
