maryportfuncity 10,017 Posted August 6, 2016 Myself and the Voice of Young Maryport saw Jerry Sadowitz in London last night, offensive in almost every way a comedian can be and so bloody funny we were recovering ages later. The one liners were about loads of stuff posted hereabouts ("if only Kate McCann would smile a bit more I might fancy her etc. etc") but the rants about terrorism and the like were total corkers. Nash has always had a disgustingly healthy look about him despite being a few years older than Young. But - stonking gig. Keep 'em comin' Rumour has it that Neil Young and Marni Nixon are the parents of a secret love child; I doubt it's true though. The Cure were part of my formative years, I've even gone so far as to shack up with a bloke called Robert Smith We'd tried and failed numerous times to get a ticket for The Cure, but this time I got in on a pre-sale being a SSE customer and they spend my money on sponsor Wembley Arena. They did add two extra nights though, so might have got lucky anyway later on. Bronski Beat (original incarnation) circa 1984; Natalie Imbruglia at Barrowlands - only went to accompany my brother, but worth it to see her getting chibbed by a thrown water bottle; and Madness at the SECC - Christmas show that went on for hours. I've forgotten a lot of gigs I went to back in my yoof Never saw The Kinks, but did see Ray Davies in Hyde Park a while back. Saw Edwin Starr on a cross-Channel ferry once. That was a pleasant surprise, they usually had really mediocre entertainment.
