MrWonderful 481 Posted January 5, 2021 Legendary former Dodgers announcer Vin Scully's wife of 47 years, Sandi, has passed away from ALS at the age of 76. Scully has endured a lot of tragedy in his life, as his first wife, Joan, died of a drug overdose in 1972. He then wed Sandi a year later. To see your wife of 47 years go before you do, particularly when she's 17 years younger than you are, I'm sure it has to be devastating. His eldest son, Michael, died in 1994 in a helicopter crash at just 33 years of age. As Scully is 93, you have to wonder if this could lead to a quick deterioration. I certainly hope not. I suppose this could have gone into the ALS thread, too.
