Daniel Alicea was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and died at age 80 in Camden, New Jersey, on 8/Sep. He was a featherweight and junior lightweight boxer. He won the North American Boxing Organization, World Boxing Council of the Americas titles Continental, and North American Boxing Federation junior lightweight titles. He had 30 wins (22 knockouts), 7 (6 knockouts) losses and 2 draws

In 2016, Alicea was diagnosed with leukemia. The cancer initially receded but returned in 2019. He died of a brain bleed

Xavi Moya was born in Barcelona and died in October 7 at the age of 55, he was European and world kung fu champion in 1990 and 1991, respectively. He won the bronze medal at the Spanish Taekwondo Championship. As a boxer, he was three times middleweight champion of Spain and amateur champion of Catalonia. He was also European and world champion in professional full-contact, as well as kick-boxing. 2 3 Moya also won the gold medal in the 80 kg sanshou at the 1991 World Wushu Championships

Death notice for Derek Leney, who fought as an amateur but after retiring from the ring covered boxing for BBC local radio and press. He died 21st October, aged 92.

Emilio Correa, former Pan-American , World and Olympic welterweight boxing Champion (the latter of which he won Olympic Gold in 1972) has died. https://www.radiohc.cu/en/noticias/deportes/349447-emilio-correa-one-of-the-first-cuban-boxing-olympic-champions-passes-away

So, was fighting up to last year - may well be impossible to verify but continuing to take hard blows to the head into his 40s might well have something to do with that seizure
