Yes, it's a European thing. Every active European football player at the top level will obit everywhere. In their native countries even the ones at the 2nd or 3rd level will obit. And Les Mutrie.

Bonus points for being young and having cancer.

 

Franz Beckenbauer had the 2nd heart surgery this year last weekend, by the way. This time, it was a routine procedure.

^ One of the greatest European goals ever imo, that. About 24 passes right up the field led to it. Most of which the videos only cut out.

 

Thought at the time Miller would be a star but he left Celtic too early and got lost in the shuffle.

Re obitable footy cases - I'm guessing I wasn't the only one watching Alan Shearer investigating brain damage and heading the ball on BBC 1 last night.

 

So, the clearly ill and going downhill Matt Tees may now be on our radar - but is he obitable?

 

Going on the Wiki page I'd say marginal DDP (and a hope based largely on the late-life fame as a dementia poster boy and/or regional BBC reporting of a Grimsby, Charlton or Luton legend of old). Deathrace and others who admit local papers, mind...likely a result

Would happen if he goes quick after the documentary as it's fresh and people would use it to push for more funding into research similar to the NFL one.

Oddly, for a Scots player he was a journeyman a long way from home by the looks of things. Even his declining year was at Boston (then nowhere near the league club they briefly became) in the mid seventies
