Stan Bowles finally got his Testimonial from QPR yesterday, and I believe he was in attendance. Can't find any pictures as yet, but some are bound to surface.

Write-up here. Apparently will need to move into assisted care "soon" and other sources said this will be his last ever visit to Loftus Road. Looks like shite unsurprisingly.

He looked pretty good a few years back (actually met him when he was guest of honour at a celebration for the Carlisle United London Branch); he's seriously declined in that short time - very sad indeed.

REALLY sad - he skippered Carlisle United to four days at the top of the whole Football League (i.e. 1st place overall - none of your Premiershit in those days): http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/carlisle-utd/latest/article/Carlisle-United-mourn-legend-Bill-Green-who-has-died-aged-66-f4fbac1d-44cf-471a-ad00-35bad9ce2e02-ds

You could say the same about a lot of sports - how much does boxing do to help brain damaged former fighters?

If he dies in Barnsley it may be some time before the rest of the World gets to hear about it.
