Tipping up auld huns #5341

Harold Davis turns 85 on the 10th of May.

More importantly, he's in a care home in Aultbea.

Interestingly, spent two years in hospital due to injuries in the Korean War, so did well to go on and have the career he did.

Juraj Halenár tops himself aged 35.

Was the cunto who bagged 3 in 'that' Artmedia game v Celtic, 2 hours after I'd finished the Devils Staircase on the West Highland Way in 2005.

Physically fucked became totally fucked in 90 minutes thanks to him.

Good to see you’ve long gotten over it.

With any luck there'll be a grave

I'm thinking budget airline (with a tasteful gap from the date of the funeral) and urination upon said grave - then he'll be over it.

Celtic: Marshall, Telfer, Varga, Balde, Camara, Zurawski (Maloney 60), Lennon, Petrov, Thompson (Aliadiere 66), Hartson, Sutton (McGeady 17).

Celtic team from that day.

Keeper who turned out not as good as hyped after Barca match, rubbish defender, mediocre defender, Big Bobo Balde the living meme (and shit defender), shit defender I forgot existed, Polish striker who took 3 months to acclimatize to SPL, aging bulldog, really good midfielder, aging stropy midfielder, top striker coming off injury and aging, ok strike partner who gets injured 10 mins in by Neil Lennon accidentally.

subs - talented young guy, crap French striker, Aiden McGeady when he was a wean.

Rangers lost the league to that side.

Which apt, as Artmedia then hit the skids financially in 2014, went bust, changed their name and started again in the bottom tier.

Sound 100% familiar?

I guess this goes here.

The Nigerian football federation has announced the death of Super Eagles ex-Physiotherapist, Olawale Oladejo.   A former Super Eagles physiotherapist, Olawale Oladejo, is dead. The team made the announcement on Friday.   Oladejo served as a backroom staff for the 2013 African Cup of Nations winning Super Eagles, guided by (now late) Stephen Keshi.

Read a review of a book today that discusses the days when the maximum wage for footballers was scrapped. The book interviews a few of those who played for a maximum £20 a week - all of whom are at least 80 now.

George Eastham being one such. Highly obitable when he does go-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Eastham#Playing_career

For all he achieved there, his greatest moments were afore Spurs.

Winning the Scottish League and getting to the semifinal of the European Cup.

With Dundee.

There used to be a trivia q afore the Champions League made it piss easy for clubs with cash.

* what 4 cities have had two different European Cup semifinalists?

Answer / Madrid, Milan, Glasgow and Dundee.

** Everton might have had a shot but didn't get a chance because of their neighbours.

Gilzean never really cut it at international level, but that more down to be of ages with Law.

No slight on him at all.
