The rate in which footballers are dying young or having severe health problems is increasing. The PEDs and steroids doses must be increasing.Its no secret the juve team of the 90s were all drugged up zizou even admitted it. Its all out there I read a book about England players lining up for injections before a game with Argentina in 1998. The famous ajax side given injections one of the players saying he felt like he could jump 10 feet in the air. Even Ronaldo's (the Brazilian one) knee problems have been linked to steroid abuse as the dramatic increase in muscle mass put too much strain on his knee ligaments.

The picture in the Northampton chronicle was taken in1965 if the report is to believed. He looked bloody awful for a 23 year old!

In that remarkable life he was player-manager at Carlisle aged 24 and went on to make the decision to sell himself.
