Tuber Mirum 125 Posted November 27, 2009 Just realised I ate some turkey yesterday, purely by chance without being specially thankful for anything. I wonder if a lot of people in the US who didn't eat turkey yesterday weren't thankful either?
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted November 27, 2009 I wonder if a lot of people in the US who didn't eat turkey yesterday weren't thankful either? At least they're doing Un-American things, I'd say. regards, Hein

deadsox 894 Posted November 27, 2009 Just realised I ate some turkey yesterday, purely by chance without being specially thankful for anything. I wonder if a lot of people in the US who didn't eat turkey yesterday weren't thankful either? I'm sure that there are Americans who are not thankful for anything, just like in any other place. Of course, the turkey has nothing to do with it. I, however have a lot to be thankful for.

Madame Defarge 21 Posted November 27, 2009 The thing I am most grateful for is that I prepared Thanksgiving dinner for the very first time and everything turned out okay. The turkey was delicious, if I say so myself.
deadsox 894 Posted November 25, 2010 On Thanksgiving Day in the US, I am once again thankful for all the wonderful blessings I have been given. I wish all my Death List acquaintances a good day. Go Patriots!

CarolAnn 926 Posted November 24, 2011 This year I am incredibly thankful for health, a home, employment, happy and mostly healthy cocker spaniels, my new grandson and that I have reached the point in my life where I no longer have to cook Thanksgiving dinner. I made reservations.
harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,689 Posted November 24, 2011 I'm thankful the Packers were live on Sky, carving up some Motown turkeys and running their record to a perfect 11-0. I cooked a mean chicken and some fine roast potatoes, but I have to say the carrots were a fail. Happy Thanksgiving, all y'all.

RadGuy 1,614 Posted November 25, 2015 Can't wait to eat some turkey and some sweet potatoes and some pumpkin pie. But the best part of Thanksgiving for me is the fact that it's my first break from school longer than 3 days.
deadsox 894 Posted November 25, 2015 Classic scene from The West Wing. I was thinking the other day how lame and old a joke it is to pardon a turkey before Thanksgiving every year. It was probably half funny around 80 years ago when it was first done.
Dr_T 254 Posted November 25, 2015 Happy Thanksgiving to all our American deathlisters. Always reminds me of the joke: Why did the woman have Thanksgiving tattooed on one thigh and Christmas tattooed on the other? Cause her husband always complained that there was never anything good to eat between the holidays. Cheers Dr. T

RadGuy 1,614 Posted November 24, 2016 Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! I'm thankful for not being lazy this year and actually having the willpower to do research for my deadpool teams. I'm thankful that my parents haven't divorced (yet). I'm thankful that one of my aunts and her white trash side of the family isn't coming over, to bother me and the rest of my family, who are RESPECTABLE white trash. I'm thankful the Bears ain't playin', sparing me some disappointment and anger. Most importantly, I'm thankful for all the food that I didn't bother helping make, but will gladly eat.
YoungWillz 21,056 Posted November 24, 2016 I'm thankful for a leader elected by the popular masses...no, wait...we don't... I'm thankful for a choice of Prime Minister at the next election between two statespersons...no, wait, that's wrong... Thankful I don't live in the US under Trump. That'll do. He he.
