If you want to be considered classy on British website you've got to commemorate the death of someone whose act they don't think has aged as badly like, I dunno, that Muhammad guy.

It is 110 years since the passing of Alphonse Allais at 51. I'm assuming they played his funeral march composition at the wake - although hard to tell I suppose.

That due to ill health she didn't actually act in the film she won the Oscar for and used a male stand in instead.

 

Forgot to say what adds fuel to the fire is that when her win was announced an unknown man jumped up and took the Oscar.
