Dustin Gee. I was 9 at the time and it was pretty big news amongst my school pals.

Yes, I remember that being early in the year...

Forgot it was that long ago. Then again it's always the funny one who goes first... Morecambe & Wise, Morecambe went first... Barker & Corbett.. Barker went first..

and of course Schnorbitz died before Bernie Winters

While he wasn't quite enlightening, he did bring electric light to the masses.

King George VI died on this day in 1952.

(I would post a picture, but my usual method doesn't seem to be working.)

Edit: Here is a video instead - for all you Republicans out there:

It's 54 years since a plane containing Manchester United players and others slapped the ground in Munich and gave Chelsea fans a chance to demonstrate their amazing "wit" and songwriting ability. :referee:

From the Wiki entry

" Kropotkin advocated a communist society free from central government and based on voluntary associations between workers"

I suspect that he deap dow believer in fairies and fluffy bunnies and that the true solid working class hero of the revolution only considered his actions in the light of how they would benifit society as a whole and not try and climb to the top of the heap just like his ansesters had. . . I just love true upper class socialists and their rose tinted view of the "noble worker". . Such fun.

Now to put the soap box back

Best regards

Syd

Yes he is definitely a legend but I can think of two managers better than him in my opinion. Bill Shankly and Brian Clough

Lamont "Big L" Coleman, shot dead today in 1999. Emissaries from the afterlife have yet to report back on if he made good on his promise to "snap in heaven with a MAC-11 and rape Christ."

I doubt they let him in, if he was threatening to carry on like that.

Roberta: Who is this, Enid?

Enid: It's supposed to be Don Knotts.

Roberta: And what was your reason for choosing him as your subject?

Enid: I don't know -- I just like Don Knotts.

Roberta: Interesting.
