They have died or have they could apply to people that we were told were dead but were not like Jim Morrison. Rumours of their demise could apply to Lord Lucan and, back in the day, John Stonehouse. The first were officially declared dead but there are conspiracy theories that they wernt really and the other one is where people are assumed dead but no body/proof has been provided. Maybe.
