Johnnie Walker - how's he doing?

Recommended Posts

And if he was going on the list, that's now the second emergency meeting of the committe needed (after Jimmy Carter on Sunday).

RIP.

The title of this thread doesn't have to be changed, but as a non-UK resident I was rather confused on who this is. No description either...

Literally seconds away from submitting the main team DDP entry and... cheers mate, great timing.

Nah, great DJ. He will be missed. RIP.

Bugger. Just when I was congratulating myself for not putting Jimmy Carter in anything.

If only Augustus hadn't been so foolish as to give August an extra day, my DDP team would have had an extra hit by now.

Well It was a leap year - blame the spinning of the planets and the extra day we get every 4 years!

R I.P. such a lovely guy.

I met him back in 2002 at The London Palladium for the release show of John Otway's single "Bunsen Burner".

RIP, sad to see that he only had 2 months of retirement. Then I realised he was 79 and should have been resting up for the last ten years, at the very least.

Steve Wright, Annie Nightingale and Johnnie Walker. Big year for DJs.

Also I never realized his real name was Peter Dingley.

He'd only been working one day a week for the last year or two, and even that was by choice. When people enjoy what they do they don't want to retire.

Surprised it was that low - he was one of the few clearly famous and clearly close to the end people.

I'd have put him high on my TCD list, if I'd not entirely missed the news he was dying!

If he still died today but it wasn’t announced until tomorrow? What would of been done?

That can always happen.

The List would transform like a chameleon if needed. ;)
