68 today and the page on his site that covers bookings shows he has some future plans lined up.

Hey, hey - we need some money! Let's reform!

Jones, Dolenz and Tork "back together for their first UK tour in 12 years". Michael Nesmith obviously has better things to do (and his Mum invented liquid paper, so he's not strapped for cash). Not very good copy from the Telegraph, who caption the photo as "The Monkeys" and don't appear to know which Monkee is which.

Just back from the gym where I spilled sweat whilst watching the trio of reformed Monkees on the One Show. All looked fairly healthy and Tork just looks like a guy pushing 70 with a scrawny neck. He'll see 2012 IMHO.

:) You're probably right, but...

The remainder of the Monkees tour was apparently cancelled Monday (August 8). While no real official word has been issued, Davy's web site lists no Monkees dates after the July 23 concert in Milwaukee. Pollstar and at least one of the venues say dates in August and September were cancelled. And the Davy Jones Facebook page has a message annoucing the cancellation and asking that the band's privacy be respected. The ony reason reportedly given was the standard "unforeseen circumstances" and further speculation is useless.

I can't see the problem with useless speculation myself. That's what this site is all about.

Twitter searching "Peter Tork"... apparently he played a gig 18 hours ago? Maybe Mickey Dolenz is dying instead?

Could be. This site is uselessly speculating that the tour was cancelled as they all hate each other.

I thought reports of Davy Jones of the Monkees dying were rubbish and just another Twitter rumour.

But I checked it out and now I'm a believer.

If it's returned once, there is probably a huge chance that it will return again.

So there's probably a good chance he'll kick the bucket in the next few years!

Which one is he - the one that actually looked like a Monkey?

No. Mickey Dolenz is the Monkee that looks like a Monkey. And he's alive and well, strutting his stuff in a West End play.

Yes Micky Dolenz as well as Peter Tork,Davy Jones and Mike Nesmith are very much alive and well. Peter has gone through the radiation treatment last year and has been clear of it ever since.

His cancer could come back yes but it hasn't and we as his fans and friends are very thankful. All of the monkees are very much still around and still performing.

um...think again... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17214430
