I don't know enough about politics to say much about whether it's down to Tony and Gord, but genuinely, I am doing OK. I work full time, and as a single parent get child and working tax credits, council tax discount and maintenance off my sperm donors when they see fit - I bring in about 2 grand a month after tax, and for where I live, that's not bad. I can afford to pay my mortgage, and save a bit each month, and go out on the piss and replenish my wardrobe when I like - I'm quite happy with how things are. Mostly. I'll cop for a dilemma, I have a mate standing as a Loony and live in a solid Conservative seat. I wouldn't vote Conservative and the chance of anyone unseating them is very remote, not voting isn't an option for me, so I'm seriously considering a vote for my Loony mate on the basis he's alright and it would count as a 'protest' in the face of the expenses scandal etc. Still mulling it over mind, but if the Tories come round canvassing the dogs will be unleashed with elastic bands round their bollocks to get them good and mad before they go. Windsor 2,143 Posted April 6, 2010 I live in an SNP strong seat. I'm pretty confident that the SNP will win the constituency, but there are two factors which may change that. 1. Alex Salmond is standing down, and is being replaced by a snobby bitch. 2. The Conservatives have chosen Jimmy Buchan - of BBC's Trawlerman fame - to contest the seat. Being a fisherman and a local celebrity, he may win over a good few voters. If it seems likely that the Tories have a chance to take the seat, I will be voting for the SNP. Rotten Ali 599 Posted April 8, 2010 It would be much better if the real "winner" of the election were the party who polled the most votes across the country in the election. That way every vote counted no matter if in what area it were cast. OK so what if the Lib-Dems only got 200 seats - if they got at least 1 more vote across the country than either both Labour and Tories on say 220 seats each the Lib-Dems get to rule and what their policies propose.
