Wonder if the Stones will die before any of the surviving quartet kick the bucket. Only mention it because there are more reports in the press today about the current tour. Some tickets going on e-bay for one penny last week, a deal with SAGA, (for the benefit of our American posters that's a UK holiday company specialising in older people's holidays), that made a hefty pile of tickets available to their members for half price and - finally - the promotors having to resort to a last minute poster campaign to shift loads of unsold tickets.

 

If the Stones have to reduce the size of venues because people are ceasing to care and their audience is dying of old age, I reckon they might - like - consider quitting.

Jagger's dad followed - I think - a spell in the army with a career as a teacher, mainly of PE. Was fit well into old age and to be alive at 95 is doing reasonably well. He's probably got the basic strength to recover from this if - as in this report - his injuries aren't life threatening. I say we have a little side bet style fun pitting the old Jagger against Cliff Richard's dementure ridden mother. A kind of good boy vs bad boys 'who's got the parents with the best constitution' stylee thing.

An interview with former wildchild and current gardener Anita Pallenberg . She looks more 72 than 62, she's had hip replacements and has hep C, but I wouldn't be rushing to write her obit just yet. Maybe she could start a tribute act with Marianne - Shakespears Granny.
