DevonDeathTrip 2,366 Posted July 14, 2008 Billionaire husband and wife Hans Kristian and Eva Rausing have both just been charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine. According to this Daily Mail "exclusive", they're both caught in a downward spiral of chronic drug abuse. "Drugs are not just a social thing for Eva and Hans K. They are addicts and the rest of the family fear for their lives. There's a feeling that any day the phone call could come and it would be game over." adrian0719 224 Posted July 10, 2012 As this fascinating Rausing saga unfolds, maybe father of the arrested and father-in-law of the deceased has numbered days. He's currently 86.
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted July 11, 2012 I'd say the odds of sudden death for Hans Christian Rausing have greatly shortened. The double-whammy of being separated from his treasured stash and quizzed by police over the death of his wife won't do his short-term sense of well-being any good, even if forcible separation from his vast tonnage of drugs is good in the long-run. I didn't mean the son, I meant the father. Hans Kristian won't die anytime soon, agreed. Dunno about that, chronic drug problems, probs lived with his wife's corpse for a few days, likely long-term damage to his vital organs from prolonged drug-use and now the likely double-whammy of tabloid hounding and coping without the one person he shared it all with. Wealth and middle-age are not foolproof protection in such circumstances, if they were Gazza would be well again.
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted July 14, 2012 In addition to the problems listed above Hans Christian Rausing can't help police with their enquiries at present because of complications linked to alcohol withdrawl. Hmmm, the unmistakable smell of toast browning! The man will not see old age and is definite tabloid fodder when he goes.
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted July 18, 2012 Think Pete Doherty with unlimited resources. Drug-addled, police-hassled, newly wifeless and generally lacking in focus beyond the next fix. News-worthy (deffo) and obit-worthy (hmmm). Hell, anyone who'd wilfully ignore the stiffening corpse of his spouse and use a cocaine bender to dull the pain is our kinda guy, right? Latest is that he's facing charges. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-18892046

maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted July 19, 2012 The only reason for Pete Doherty being Pete Doherty is that he had to do something public for long-enough to get the cash to feed his habit, since when his work-rate and quality control of said work have both tanked. Rausing was spared that trauma and toil. As for the kids saving him...where's the evidence they kept him from years of hopeless addiction and where - exactly - were they in his life when he was indulging in a bender and hiding his dead missus? I think that 99/100 anyone with children won't knowingly take their own life. Having kids is one of the best things to live for and it would take an extremely selfish and cold individual to do it. However this hans christian rausing could very well be the 1/100 considering he left his wife laying dead in body bags for a while .
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted August 1, 2012 Two years in a private hospital plus a suspended sentence; mainly on the basis he was such a hopeless case he hadn't a f***ing clue what planet he was on for most of the TWO MONTHS his missus lay mouldering in the mansion. So, if we take that literally, assume a generous five to ten minutes from his release from care on 1 Aug 2014 before the dealers get to him and he falls off the wagon, and count on his recovered constitution hanging on for a few months of full-on drug abuse, I'd say he's nailed on for 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19078646
