On a further unrelated note, does anyone else believe the rumours about Paul Newman and Tom Cruise from when they worked together? Why did you think of Bobby ..... Handy? What do you reckon will come out about Kirk and what are the rumours about Newman and Cruise? Tell me more!! I don't know really, he just reeks of light entertainment sleaziness, he always seemed to be on Children's Variety Shows years after kids wouldn't know who he was also the wording "appeared on a soap" makes me think the perp isn't known primarily as a soap star. There are loads of rumours about Kirk Douglas being a sleaze and possibly worse (google Natalie Wood or Jean Spangler for more info) The Newman/cruise stuff I'm not sure I believe but word is Paul Newman used to seduce one young man per film he worked on and while most of them knew it was just a fling, Cruise fell for him and had a hard time dealing with being dumped. A few of us heard the interview on Radio Four this week. It'd be fair to say...the public jury is out. Intellectual curiousity or, Gary Glitter with better PR? Dunno myself. Seem to recall Townsend's arrest was part of the same operation that netted Matthew Kelly and some guy from Massive Attack? All were eventually released without charge, for the record People will say (Like im sure they said with savile) if there was any substance to the claims the police would of found out . However many of these people have huge amounts of money and money can buy many things. Also you do wonder whether their is or was a peadophile ring that supplied/supplies celebrities with children. Just like im sure there are people that supply celebs with drugs and many other things if your in the right club or know the right people. Possessing huge amounts of money didn't help Gary Glitter or Jonathan King.... Now, I don't read the Sun so I'm only going on what LFN has said, so there maybe more clues but I'm guessing that the said tycoon also owns a football club. Now, as for the pop star. Thinking aloud, I'm going to assume that the pop star has an interest in common with the tycoon, otherwise they wouldn't meet. Therefore, she must be prominent supporter of the football club that the tycoon owns. So tycoon, who probably has sports as a prominent title in one of his businesses and the pop star who publicly supports the team he owns. Go figure...
