He was the backup goalkeeper behind Ronnie Hellström and Sven-Gunnar Larsson and didn’t play any match. Uruguayan Julio Morales died on 14 February 2022 aged 76. Swiss Roberto Frigerio died on 9 April 2023 aged 84, he was an unused substitute. Mexican Alfredo Hernández died on 17 January 2003 (!) aged 67, he only played Mexico’s third and last match, as Mexico was eliminated in the group stage.
