I found something interesting that may interest French people here.

Madeleine Della Monica (Wiki), French egyptologist (born 1912) still alive and will be 112 this July.

Her page is being edited many times by her granddaughter explaining that she is in good health.

This is a photo of her (in the middle) taken in 2012 on the 100th anniversary of her birth. In the photo are her two friends Lucie and Jeanne, also born in 1912

Lucie died in 2013 a year later at 100 and Jeanne died in 2017 at 104.

Madeleine was the oldest and survive them.

Of more interesting note, she was a codebreaker during WWII and worked with the folk at Bletchley from their Ottawa branch.

I wasn’t even aware Bletchley had an Ottawa branch but you learn something new every day!

Sonja's brother Oskar Morawetz was a noted Canadian composer.

Now, I like to check actors' IMDB pages for writing their DDP obits, as sometimes it can rustle up interesting trivia to spice up my own obits. (albeit in Miss Paige's case her fiery Columbo guest spot can spice up the obit all on its own)

But other times the stuff can be really flimsy.

Janis Paige's page (heh) has this newly-minted trivia piece:

She passed away at age 100, from natural causes. Coincidentally, her final film appearance was in a film titled Natural Causes (1994), 30 years earlier.

Good thing her final film wasn't named "Fiery Helicopter Crash"

Can't quite believe she's never been mentioned on here before...

Christian Lamb (wiki) is 104 this year. One of the last surviving WRENs, she helped plan the D-Day landings.

Anyway, can't find a link but she was on BBC News tonight. Looked great. Perfect makeup and still without a wheelchair (albeit using a Zimmer frame). May have a year or two left in her. Will be interesting to see if she was played in the DDP this year.

Christian Lamb (wiki) visited Normandy today for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Was awarded the Legion d'honneur by Macron. 104 next month. Looked good when she spoke to the BBC at tea time but has notably deteriorated slightly in just 6 months.

10. Morrie Markoff - The second one of this group who as far as I know has no Wikipedia page. "Notable" only for being the oldest blogger, but also the oldest man in the US now. Looks much younger.

Morrie Markoff has died four days ago.

Gerald Gikonyo, a billionaire Kenyan businessman and procreation machine, having four wives, siring 23 children, and with a claim of over 300 grandchildren, has died. He was reported to be 110. Nothing from the gerontology sites, but a number of articles have been written about him over the years.

YouTube video posted today (June 21st) on actors who lived at least until 100. Count vouch for the accuracy of each entry, but certainly an interesting watch.

The “120” year old was apparently actually only 96. Interesting that we don’t have any supercentenarian actors yet

Yes, and also several of them didn’t even reach 100, and quite a lot were never even actors.

Never mind that though, just a weird ass clip all round. Silly music and why the robot voiceover and listing their causes of death?? Feels like something diego would do on his weekend when he’s not copy and pasting on here from Wikipedia about Surinamese athletes that came in 40th place during the 1960 Olympics.

Georges Rivière b. 1 Jul 1924, French

Is French actor Georges Rivière alive ? I have no information about him. No death about him reported on French national referential website for deaths : Matchid . He would turn 100 next week. He is married to actress Lucile Saint-Simon who could be also dead by now. I’m really not sure, they live in france.
I checked his Wikipedia profile, George Riviere is an important actor who played in major European film productions.
If someone can make an investigation  about him. Thanks.

Discussed many times, however, it is really an issue that does not get a solution. I am currently in contact with someone who studies French actors (from municipal information), This person helped me find the real name of the actress Dorette Ardenne and her condition, who had been dead for 23 years. He has made a list of French centenarians from the 1910s to 1924 which will continue in the future. If Georges is not listed, next week (after I asked him) he must be dead by now but not in France as even if his date of birth is wrong, his birth name doesn't appear anywhere.

He had been active in Italian cinema but he is not living there as far as I learned. Perhaps he emigrated to Argentina, he had a career there also under the name Jorge Rivier. Could emigrated in Germany cause his last credit was a German tv show?

I already found the FB of Lucile Saint-Simon daughter, she seems active and also is an actress too.
