Just for curiosity, someone edited that he died on July 15, 2022. Maybe a vandalism again.

What are you saying? His English wiki page has been edited 10 months ago for the last time and his Chinese page 10 days ago.

Plus, it is very rare a Chinese person is dead on Wiki before obits are out, because they are really quick. So it would be blatant vandalism anyway.

Now I get it. You saw this one the "List of living centenarians" page.

Well, let me say it is difficult an IP from Madrid knows Yang You has died before the press. It is the usual psycho troll.

Indian centenarians ...

1920-1921:

Mani Kumar Chetri (23rd of May 1920-) Cardiologist

Thanga Darlong (20th of July 1920-) Folk music artist

Pravrajika Bhaktiprana (ca. October 1920-) Nun

Some kind of an update post:

Mani Kumar Chetri seems to still work.

Thanga Darlong is still "healthy", but looks much thinner than a few years ago.

Pravrajika Bhaktiprana (President Mataji) seems to be doing fine, but she's been wheelchairbound for over a decade. Her VP at the Sri Sarada Math, Pravrajika Anandapranaji was hospitalised in January due to "pneumonia and other complications" but discharged a month later. Weird thing is that she was discharged in critical condition, so they probably expected her to die. However she recovered.

Since 2014 the Math's website has given updates on the health of Bhaktiprana and since around October 2020 also on the health of Anandapranaji. They also usually give a full health history and death cause in their obituaries. Here is a picture of Bhaktiprana from the most recent update, April 2022:

Won't be the only Nobel prize winner to become a centenarian this year, as immortal Chen Ning-yang turns 100 in October.

Tweet reporting that Hans Frauenfelder (wiki) has died just a few weeks after turning 100.

Obituary for Frauenfelder makes it clear that he was born on July 28, not June 28. So he was never a centenarian if he died on July 8.
