At the funeral I was suprised at how well most of them looked. Maybe something had happened to give them a spring in their step but I did think Douglas Hurd looked like Beaker's Grandad.

I have been through the 2013 list and have identified 16 people who I think should not be included next year to get down the the 50% change level. However this was surprisingly hard once I got past about 8 names.

I don't think either of them should go, both seem to be well but Pincher is a DL staple at this point, and LaMotta even moreso as he's been on there for the past 9 years.

 

A name you didn't bring up that I definitely think should be off next year is Stan Lee, while he had the feelings of an inspired pick early in the year he's once again very active.

 

Admittedly I've been thinking of doing an update rundown of all the survivors of the year's list, even those that are obviously staying on it until their death.

Hmm...I think both Alice Babs & Bess Myerson have a decent chance of getting obits. Alice due to her association with Duke Ellington & ESC. Bess due to being the first jewish Miss America, a panelist on game shows during the 50s, running for New York congress in the 80s. She was also involved in a bribing scandal known as the "Bess mess".

 

The remaining 2 would most likely not get media attention so yeah...

Only a tiny percentage of people make it to 100,and usually they have to be in robust health throughout their 90s. With ZZGs state of health being as frail as it is the mathematical probability of her making it to her 100th birthday is almost non existent. In fact I've calculated that , taking all her ailments into consideration, mathematically she must die in the next few months.
