Clive James...to finish off the top 5.

Given Clive did all those "year in review" specials in the past, it would be poetic if he died on December 31st.

Sticking with Sallis.

Graham languishes atop my provisional 2014 HPDP team, so I'd have very mixed feelings if I called this right.

After I actually scored on one of these polls with Kalashnikov. Jaruzelski with plenty of days remaining.

I lost my faith in Billy Graham, so I go for the General again.

That's it for the year methinks.

I've said that twice in the past week and look what happened! The omens might be good for a 14th hit. It's only happened twice before, in 2003 and 2008. If the pattern continues it should happen again in 2013 !

PS if you're looking for a sign of who it might be, there was a connection between the last 2.The number 43. In 2008 the 14th hit (Harold Pinter) was in the no 43 spot. In 2003 it was Elia Kazan , who was in the no 43 position the previous year. If that's anything to go by then this year it would be Henry Kissinger. last years no 43 Tariq Aziz isn't on the list this year so if he dies we've had a big miss !

Wow, can't believe I didn't twig that. I mean I was aware that 2003 and 2008 were the two years that held the record but the thought never occurred to me that "here we are again with another five years later...". Would be weird if it finished on 14 yet again, every chance of that happening.

Why not Zsa Zsa? 2-3 years ago was a very popular pick.

Went with Zsa Zsa Gabor, as I'm sure Von Asshole's Christmas wish is for her to die so he may finally inherit her fortune.

She is probably down to more like four tunes

I still think Peter Sallis on Boxing Day
