Death Impends 7,943 Posted March 13, 2013 Two ailing MTM alum in a row: Ed Asner in hospital for exhaustion. Hope he turns out fine; it seems that'll be the case.
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted January 11, 2014 Oh Oh I don't see Asner going any time soon. He has too much to live for and to many projects he is still working on. Besides he usually seems too angry with a touch of humor to croak. Here's to him having a long long long life and surpassing all the MTM and Lou Grant costars, Let's try him off in 2031. Bibliogryphon 9,515 Posted April 28, 2014 If anyone is in Fayetteville, North Carolina next month they can attend a Q&A session with Ed and Loretta Swit. However I would suggest that questions along the line of "Will you die this year Ed?" will not be well received.
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted December 11, 2014 Just learned he's joining the cast of The Good Wife (it's an American series with Juliana Margulies). He'll be playing Guy Fawkes....no, wait, Guy Williams....no, that's wrong too....Oh, here it is Guy Redmayne, described as 'disgusting'. EXCLUSIVE! 'The Good Wife' Scoop: Legendary Actor Ed Asner to Play 'Disgusting' New Role "The 85-year-old will play Guy Redmayne, a mega-donor to Democratic causes, who turns out to be, well for lack of a better word… disgusting. (This is quite a character leap considering Asner consistently graces our TV screens in the holiday season as Santa Clause on Elf!) The exact date of Asner's Good Wife debut is to be determined, but we know one thing for sure: it's definitely an appearance that you don’t want to miss. The Good Wife returns Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at 9 p.m. on CBS. " Good actor, nice to see he's still getting work.

Shame though, Asner was always good value, even in the last decade in US TV shows.
