Go to the morning safety meeting and the Tool Pusher (man in charge of the oil rig crew) says we are pulling pipe out of the hole because the drilling motor failed and jammed up, then slams a plastic pull tab thingy from a 5-gal chemical canister on the table and blames the rig crew for dropping it into the mud pits, and of course it ends up at the bottom of the hole and the rest is history. I didn't say shit of course, but I knew we (we are 3rd party services) also had a canister above the pits, and after the meeting I checked and yes, our pull tab thingy was missing. So it cost us an entire day of progress, and rigs are about $40000/day, so there you go! I got that canister outta there ASAP sight unseen, into the bin. No one the wiser.
