I don't care who gets in as long as the Tories are sent packing.

So I will be voting for whoever else is likeliest to win the seat, which will probably be Labour.  Would definitely have been Lib Dem if there hadn't been the gerrymandering.

I don't think it is a matter of hope, I think the electorate are done with the current bunch.

Major was at that point untainted and was up against Kinnock, who the people had already rejected twice. Question is, would the English and Welsh on whose votes this election really turns swing behind another party in such numbers as to make a difference to what is expected? A significant drift from both the main parties could make this very interesting - I feel there's not enough in Starmer's messaging yet to hang on to what he has now.

'Mon the Binface!

Once surely? 1983 was Foot. 1987 Kinnock lost to Thatcher, but improved their position somewhat. Stayed on for 1992 and was expected to win (although as @msc has noted perhaps he shouldn't have been), lost again and was replaced by John Smith.

We are totally sure this is a parody account, and not just Sunak's real thoughts, right?

Wonder if it's the same person behind those Conservative Party election campaign parody posters from back in 2010? The ones that featured David Cameron's massive head next to a sentence like 'I love the NHS so much, I want to cut it into little pieces and give it to all my friends'?

Blair has since said he publicly wondered if he'd needed to sack Prescott over that only for every working class person nearby (his driver, security etc) to be all "you're joking!"

If you can afford to eat in a restaurant or cafe, you can share the pavement with all those smokers you were trying to avoid inside!

Another belter from the Torygraph

There was a time when although right leaning it was still a respectable reputable newspaper.

Wait.

Wasn't it the Tories who vastly expanded the university sector in the first place?
